Gary Patton
Volunteer Coordinator
Vocation: Retired Sergeant of the Los Angeles Police Department
Ministry: Gary has always had a heart to minister God’s love to the people around him. He spent several years with Suicide Prevention manning the phone lines, then joined the LAPD. He was trained as a Peer Counselor, which allowed him to do one-on-one counseling with officers who were finding it difficult to cope with issues related to police work. In 2007, Gary was licensed as a lay pastor by Cornerstone Community Church of Simi Valley. He presently works as a Chaplain with the LAPD, ministering to the officers and their families during times of trouble. Gary joined ECI in 2013 as a ministry assistant and volunteer coordinator. Gary and his wife have two grown children, two adopted children, and have fostered over 17 others over the years. Gary and Robin currently reside in Simi Valley, CA.
Testimony: "I became active with ECI when I became aware of the dire need to assist the spiritual leaders of South America with basic Biblical teaching. To be a part of spreading the true word of God by helping those who were called to shepherd God’s sheep has been a joy."
